58356fc7ad737-imageJohn M. Fidishun Sr. died at his home Sunday, November 20th, 2016, peacefully surrounded by his family and friends. He was 83.

Born and raised in McAdoo, Pa., son of the late Julia (Kish) and George Fidishun, John was a 1951 graduate of McAdoo High School and a 1959 graduate of East Stroudsburg University. John was inducted into the Hazleton Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2016. He was a resident of Falls Township since 1963.

He was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Parish, Morrisville. John was Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph the Worker Council #4215, Past Faithful Navigator for the Saint John Neumann Assembly and was also the State Treasurer and former Master of the Pennsylvania East District Calvert Province of the Knights of Columbus.

John was a retired teacher and football coach at Morrisville High School, and previously coached football at Millsboro High School in Delaware. He was the founder of John’s Driving School and Auto Tags in Fairless Hills.

Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Dolores A. (Wargo), John was the loving father of Dolores (Al Labonis) of Warrington; Julianne Emerick of Fairless Hills; Annette Frey (James) of Fairless Hills; and the late John M. Jr. (Denise) of Levittown; the devoted grandfather of Jason (Kelly), David, Brianne (Brian), Danielle and Eric and great grandfather of Brian, Samantha, Maddison, Paige and Zachary.

He was the brother of Vera Hornick of Beaver Meadows; Margaret Bumbulsky of McAdoo and the late George Fidishun.

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 9 p.m. Monday, and from 8 until 9 a.m. Tuesday, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Morrisville. Rite of Committal will follow in Washington National Crossing Cemetery.

582ae3abf197e-imageWilliam T. Piccone passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016. He was 86.

Mr. Piccone is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn (Deiter) and his children, William, Richard and his wife, Barbara (Duffy), Thomas and his wife, Ellen (Lo), Robert, Stephen, and Carolyn. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Richard Jr., Matthew, and Ryan, and his sister, Constance.

Mr. Piccone was a loving, husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Korean War.

Mr. Piccone enjoyed playing the organ and going to Parx Casino. He also enjoyed talking about UFOs and eating at the Dallas Diner with his family.

Family and friends are invited to call fromĀ 9 until 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. The Rite of Committal will be held at precisely 2:00 p.m. Monday, in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
