20140224_114348176_0John A. Deithorn of Morrisville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. He was 70.

Born in Elwood City, Pa., John was a lifelong Morrisville resident.

Mr. Deithorn attended Holy Trinity School, graduated from Bishop Egan High School in 1961, and earned his Associate Degree in Computer Science from Bucks County Community College. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a computer systems analyst with North American Phillips Lighting for 28 years. He also worked at Rohm & Haas, Optical Scanning, and The Bucks County Courthouse.

John was a member of Fairless Hills Elks No. 2023, where he served as Exalted Ruler three times, as well as serving several years as an officer. He was an avid golfer, who especially enjoyed playing at Pinehurst in North Carolina. Mr. Deithorn was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Reserves, and a member of the Yardley American Legion Post No. 317.

Son of the late Milton and Bina (Donnelly) Deithorn, he is survived by his loving wife Kathleen ‘Kathy’ (McLaughlin) Deithorn; two children, Jeannette Wallace of Trevose and John A. Deithorn, Jr. of Morrisville; four brothers, Joseph of Florida, Milton of Bethel Park, Pa., Hugh of Doylestown, and David of Hanover, Pa.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Deithorn, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Morrisville. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne. Friends may call Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, where a service conducted by Elks Lodges No. 970 and No. 2023, will be conducted at 10 a.m.

Catherine J. Lobefalo of Lower Makefield Township, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at home. She was 86.

Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Gennaro and Anna Fusco Malcontento, she was formerly a longtime resident of Pennsauken, N.J. before moving to Lower Makefield seven years ago.

Mrs. Lobefalo was a homemaker and an active volunteer for the Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Lower Makefield.

Wife of the late Anthony J. Lobefalo, she is survived by two daughters, Theresa McVey (Bernard) of Ellicott City, Md. and Annette J. Capaci (Gerald) of Lower Makefield; a brother, Anthony Malcontento of Philadelphia; and four grandchildren, Andrew McVey, Tara McVey, Amanda Capaci and Catherine Capaci.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and Mommom to many.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Tuesday, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Lower Makefield. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Pennsauken, N.J. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Ave. (River Road), Yardley, and from 9 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, at the church.

62576255Regina M. Chury, age 83, of Yardley, PA died Tuesday, January 22, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center, Middletown Township, PA. Born in Pittston, PA, she lived in Hughestown, PA before moving to Yardley 30 years ago.

Mrs. Chury retired from working with the U.S. Government as an administrative assistant at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), a former volunteer at St. Mary Medical Center, and a member of the Middletown Senior Citizens. Regina was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Yardley, who enjoyed being outdoors, especially working in her yard.

Daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Baumgartner) Dehner, and wife of the late Edward Chury, she is survived by a sister Rosemary Groark of Fairless Hills, PA, a brother, Carl Dehner of Champion, MI, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral mass at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 728 Big Oak Rd., Yardley, PA. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at St. Mary Assumption Cemetery, Hughestown, PA
