photo_1351682_1_photo1_cropped_20130402Evelyn Henrietta Puzan, mother of Darryl (Yardley) and Timothy Puzan (Guam) and Cindy Lane (Las Vegas), passed away of congestive heart failure on Holy Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the age of 91. She now joins her husband, Walter F. Puzan (1977).

Evelyn was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 7, 1922. Though legally blind for most of her life, Evelyn raised her family and had a career as a medical transcriptionist for the Cook County General Hospital Neurology Department in Chicago, Illinois. She retired 25 years ago from that position, and did volunteer work as a Polish translator, later living with her oldest son Darryl and his wife Maureen in Yardley.

Evelyn enjoyed singing, square dancing, playing cards with her family, and playing bingo at the Middletown Senior Center. She had attended the Chandler Hall Adult Daycare Program until recently. She is greatly loved and missed by her 3 children, 15 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 752 Big Oak Road in Morrisville at 10 AM on MondayApril 1, followed by Mass at 11 AM. Interment will be with her late husband at Saint Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Chicago.
