52760624ebb12.preview-300Joseph Edward Michalak of Yardley died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013. He was 31.

Born in Langhorne, Joseph was a life long resident of Lower Bucks County.

He was a member of St. John the Evangelist parish and was a 2000 graduate of Conwell Egan Catholic High School where he played on the ice hockey team.

Joseph was an U.S. Army veteran who had served during the Iraq War.

He enjoyed drawing, sports and playing golf.

He will be lovingly remembered for his vibrant personality and great sense of humor.

Joseph was the loving father of Alyssa ‘Peanut’ Michalak. He was the beloved son of Therese (Javornik) and Albert Michalak and the loving brother of Ashley Archbald (Shaun) and Katelyn Michalak. Joseph was the grandson of Alice H. Javornik and the nephew of Milissa Wang (John), Beth Ann Bunting (William), Donna Javornik, Dana Zaluski and Zibby Teterycz. He will also be sadly missed by many cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, at St. John the Evangelist Church followed by Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. There are no calling hours on Tuesday prior to the Mass.
