Timothy P. Ward Sr.

Timothy P. Ward Sr. of Holland died peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home in Ocean City, N.J.

He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara J. Clark Ward.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Tim was the son of Elizabeth McPeak Ward and the late Leonard Ward.

Tim had been a resident of Holland and a dedicated parishioner of St. Bede’s Church for 24 years. Tim was passionate about his service as a Eucharistic Minister and a parish council member.

Tim’s roles as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend were fundamental to his life’s purpose. When it came to his children, Dad was ever-present. Among numerous interests and talents, Tim was fond of cooking, golfing, and fishing.

Tim had great pride in his Irish roots and visited Ireland numerous times. He was fond of storytelling, donning an Irish accent, friendly banter and cooking traditional Irish meals.

After decades working for Verizon, Tim realized his dream of owning a home in OCNJ. With his family, he spent his summer vacations there cooking seafood dinners, fishing in the early morning, and nodding off on the couch with the Phils playing in the background.

In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his four loving children, Breanne A., Timothy P. Jr., Ryan T. (Laura) and Shane C. of Holland. He also is survived by his nine siblings, seven brothers-in-law, cherished nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
