20160530_102541364_0-1Walter F. Kenny, age 88, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully, at his home, on Sunday, May 29, 2016.

Born in Newark, NJ, Mr. Kenny had lived in Morrisville for the past 56 years.

He began working in the steel industry at the age of 18, and was employed as a stevedore with U.S. Steel for over 25 years. Mr. Kenny was an active parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, where, among other things, he served as an usher and volunteered to count collection. He was also a proud Army Veteran of WWII.

Son of the late Peter and Ethel (Duffy) Kenny, father of the late Kathleen (Kenny) McCardell, and father-in-law of the late Debbie (Hoff) Kenny, he is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Bohnhorst) Kenny, a son David Kenny of Pahrump, NV, and 3 daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Hank Kalencki of Charlotte, NC;, Margaret and Paul Golightly of Amherst, VA; and Eileen and Robert Stillman of Lafayette Hill, PA, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening, May 31, 2016 from 7-9 PM, and on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville, PA.

His burial, with military honors, will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.

57417c1baac91.imageJohn James Gerace Jr., Ph.D., P.E., passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at his home in Yardley. He was 69.

John was the devoted husband of Velvet Gerace; and the doting father of John James Gerace III and Katerina Pilar Leslie (Jeffrey Leslie). He was a resident of Yardley for the past 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Concetta (Maltese); and his brother, Carmine. He also is survived by his brother, Albert (Lucille), his sister, Antoinette Narducci; sister-in-law, Vera; and several nephews and nieces.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., John attended the State University of New York Maritime College in the Bronx, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Marine). He subsequently received a commission as an ensign in the U.S. Naval Reserve and served three years in the Merchant Marine.

He was a licensed professional engineer in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. After working in several engineering firms for several years he pursued a MBA (Finance) at St. John’s University in Staten Island, N.Y. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics at the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research in New York City. He taught as a member of the adjunct faculty at several universities including Rider University. He served as chairperson of the Business Department at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, for seven years. During this time, he was elected to a one-year term as president of the Philadelphia Council for Business Economics (PCBE). He was most recently an assistant professor at Arcadia University.

John was an ardent reader and a devotee of Thomas Hardy. He will be remembered for his dedication and commitment to his mission as an educator, and for his unwavering devotion to his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, PA 19067, where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be held privately.

13112788_590262451140649_1320410161036449200_oPatricia M. McGrath, age 86, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, PA. Born in New York, NY, Patricia moved to Yardley in 1963.

She was predeceased by her husband Maurice “Mac” McGrath, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage before his passing in 2001. Patricia was devoted to her family, raised three wonderful children and cared for five grandchildren. She enjoyed frequent trips to New York for theater and shopping. She would often stroll the city streets and window shop along Fifth Avenue. An avid reader, her Sunday routine was making a wonderful breakfast, attending Mass and reading the New York Times front to back, always saving the style section for last.

She was active in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, where she served as an Eucharistic Minister and led the bereavement group. She will be remembered for volunteering her time assisting the elderly and the disabled. In her later years, she met friends to play bridge, have lunches and enjoy time with her family.

Daughter of the late Frank and Mary Hynes, née Mullen, Patricia was predeceased by three sisters – Francis, Mary and Eleanor. Pat is survived by several family members: Michael McGrath of Pollock Pines, CA, Kevin McGrath of Devon, PA, and Maura Eaton and her husband Gregg Eaton of Hawthorn Woods, IL. She will remain in the memories of her grandchildren Sara, Luca, and April McGrath and Connar and Ryan Eaton.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her memorial mass at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville, PA 19067. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.

5725cca0c73cc.imageTeena Ardelle Kuklis passed away Monday April 25, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was 71.

She was born in Bloomsburg and had been a longtime resident of Levittown. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Teena was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley J. Kuklis.

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Winward and her husband, Patrick, and Stacie Fourroux and her husband, Justen, along with her five grandchildren, Erin, Patrick, Molly, Avery and Deven. She is also survived by her sister, Diana Raccagno; her brother, Brian Hahn; her many nieces and nephews; her close friends; and her work family.

Teena’s family would like to give a special thank you to Chandler Hall Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 27 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Yardley, PA 19067, where family and friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be held privately
